Event Theme
“Filipinos with the world”
FAJRO 2025, being the first international event of FEJ, will provide Filipino Esperanto speakers and learners with the real opportunity to meet and interact face-to-face with fellow speakers from other countries. That, hopefully, will open doors for them to better appreciate the use of the international language in intercultural communication and cross-border friendships. FAJRO 2025’s programme will revolve around this general theme.
Tentative Programme
More details to come as we start confirming activities!
Day 1 (Friday, 22/08):
Arrival at the event, speaking practice, swimming at the beach, Acquaintance Evening, Night Programme.
Day 2 (Saturday, 23/08):
Full programme day, global food and drinks exchange, Solidarity Dinner, cultural presentations, Night Programme.
Day 3 (Sunday, 24/08):
Morning swimming at the beach, end of the programme, half-day excursion (to be confirmed), and return to Manila.
Post-event Excursion (Monday, 25/08):
Whole-day around the historical center of the capital city Manila.
Night Activity: Karaoke! 🎤🎶
Did you know that the winner of this year’s Eurovision Singing Contest 2025, JJ, is half-Filipino? That’s right, because Filipinos are among the best singers in the world! During FAJRO 2025, you can sing and dance to your heart’s content with other participants!
Of course, other night activities will simultaneously take place: the “gufujo” (owls’ circle), games, and night swimming, whatever you like!
Excursions
On August 25 (Monday), we will go on a whole-day excursion around the historical centre of the capital Manila. We will visit the following places together:
- Monument to Andrés Bonifacio, leader of the Philippine Revolution
- Manila City Hall (and its museum)
- Rizal Park (the resting place of our national hero, Dr. José P. Rizal)
- Intramuros (la antique, Spanish-era city)
- National Museum of the Filipino people
We also plan on organizing a half-day excursion to the town of Taal, Batangas from the event venue on August 24, but we are still to confirm that.
